Kick off an Irish Christmas with music and dance in the Dave Dunnet theatre Dec. 1.

Cookeilidh with special guests, the O’Brien Irish Dancers, offer a festive evening of Celtic and yuletide music that promises to leave guests with a grin on their face, a spring in the step and the holiday spirit in their heart.

Cookeilidh is a 12-string guitar, electric bass, Irish flute, Fiddle, bodhran, and vocals group that defines modern Celtic tunes as “trad with attitude”. Blending the tunes of Ireland and Scotland, with a heaping spoonful of Maritime flavour, and a dash of Folk, is their recipe for a rollicking, modern day kitchen party.

Cookeilidh performs Saturday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dave Dunnet theatre at Oak Bay High School. Tickets are $25, available by phone, online, or in person at McPherson Theatre box office.
