View Royal chief honoured again

Paul Hurst called on carpet in front of Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon

On the heels of his earning a B.C. Fire Fighter Medal of Bravery, View Royal Fire Chief Paul Hurst accepted a Canada Bravery Award silver medal Tuesday from Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon.

Hurst entered a burning home in March 2013 without his safety gear on to rescue a nine-year-old girl. He saved her life by starting CPR outside and she has recovered. Hurst was among 37 recipients of the awards, given by the Royal Canadian Humane Association.
