Missing children's day mass celebrated in Esquimalt

Service to mark national Missing Children's Day and Green Ribbon of Hope month

There will likely be a lot of green among those attending the annual Missing Children's Day mass on Friday (May 25) at Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Esquimalt.

The green ribbon of hope is the symbol for Child Find Canada to remind people that efforts to find missing children continue. Missing Children's Day was officially declared in 1986 by the federal solicitor general, and in 1992 Child Find designated May 25 the centre point of Green Ribbon of Hope month.

The mass starts at 12:10 p.m. at 849 Old Esquimalt Rd. Everyone is welcome.
