The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada’s Victoria chapter brings its annual star party to the Metchosin Cricket Field and municipal grounds tonight (July 25) through Sunday.
One of the darkest urban areas on Southern Vancouver Island, Metchosin offers an amazing sight line in all directions without the light pollution that inhibits the view to objects in the sky.
The events feature free workshops, guest speakers, prizes for children and the opportunity to meet others fascinated by astronomy. Camping under the stars is free as well so bring your tent to 4450 Happy Valley Rd.
