Fireworks, food, fun await in Metchosin

Annual Halloween celebration set for Friday at fire hall

Fireworks hit the night sky as soon as darkness falls on another Metchosin Halloween.

The firehall is the place to be as the Metchosin Volunteer Firefighter’s Society and the District of Metchosin host the annual Halloween party. Included in the night’s festivities are a costume contest, a preschool corner, free hot dogs and juice, a huge bonfire, a haunting hall and of course, the traditional fireworks display.

The largest Halloween bonfire in the West Shore awaits participants Oct. 31, when the haunted house opens at 6:30 p.m. alongside food and refreshments. The costume contest starts at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks start between 8 and 8:30 p.m. at 4450 Happy Valley Rd.
