Victoria-based Broken Promises Rescue takes in abandoned and abused animals as well as those from shelters, for care and potential adoption out to local homes. The group is hosting a sale on women’s clothing and other personal items at the View Royal Community Hall this Saturday (May 13).

If you like shopping and supporting rescued animals, this event should put a spring in your step.

Broken Promises Rescue is hosting a Second Chance Sale on women’s clothing and accessories on Saturday (May 13) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items include great deals on clothes, purses, jewelry, shoes and perfume, with the proceeds earmarked to assist animals in distress.

Broken Promises Rescue is a volunteer-run, registered non-profit organization that helps all animals, including farm animals, in a number of ways. In addition to arranging responsible adoptions and assisting overcrowded shelters, the group raises awareness of animal suffering and educates children and adults about the responsibilities of caring for animals.

The sale takes place at the View Royal Community Hall, at 279 Island Hwy.
